Most Nigerian online shopping sites allows payment with credit card, and one of the popular credit card used for online payments is the Verve card. One of the banking policies for Nigerian banks is that a person can only withdraw a maximum of one hundred and fifty thousand using a Credit card and for somebody who wants to make a purchase on an online site shopping above that amount will have difficulty in making the payment; this is where Safetoken comes in.

Visit the shopping site you wish to purchase things from and create an account with them, reactivate your account and log into your account. Click on the items you wish to order for and click on Checkout or Pay now button, you will be taken to a payment page, for the safety of your funds you will be requested to enter an OTP linked to your phone. An OTP is an acronym for One Time Password and it's a 6 to 8 digit number generated by Interswitch's Safetoken which you will be requested to enter to complete a payment request on your card.

You may also generate your OTP by dialing *322*0# on your phone, the PIN will be generated and sent to your phone, enter the PIN when requested on the payment page, the transaction will be made. Remember that your OTP expires after about 9 minutes.

Once you receive the Safetoken on your phone, you will be able to use it to complete a pending online transaction.
