In a country like Nigeria where the power supply is yet to be stable, the issue of charging Mobile phones, laptops and other chargeable gadgets can be a problem; there are other alternative ways to charge your battery when there is a power blackout. In this article I will talk about alternative ways to charge your phone without NEPA or PHCN light.

- Use Of Power Banks: Power banks as the name sounds are charged up and used to store power until when needed. When there is a power blackout, you can use your power bank to charge your phone a couple of times before you find and alternative source of power.

- Solar Charger: This is a smart option for charging a mobile phone; the solar charge comes with a small solar panel that taps electricity from the sun and coverts iot top electricity for charging a mobile phone. One good thing about solar chargers is that apart from the initial amount you will spend in purchasing it, there will be no other amount required to maintain it, and you can use it as long as the sun is shinning.

- Electric Power Generator: This is another alternative a person can resort to the case of a long power blackout. The only disadvantage with using gen. set to charge a phone is that you need to use fuel on the generator and if used constantly for a long run, it will be expensive to maintain.
