Obianuju is a common female name in Nigeria from the Igbo tribe. What does it really mean? It consists of 4 syllables: O bia na uju which literally means it comes in fullness.

Igbo females who are commonly named Obianuju are mostly the last born in the family or the ones born when the family is financially successful. So in a way, it is sort of saying that this child was born when she already has other siblings and she now crowns it all or she has been born when the family is economically stable. It is a name normally given to someone who comes in the time of plenty or fullness and it sort of signifies completeness or an acknowledgement of completeness.

Other related Igbo names to Obianuju include Ujunwa, Obiajulu, Obiageli and so on.

Nigerian musicians are also known to make use of popular female names in their songs or tracks. One of them that did such is Duncan Mighty in his 2010/2011 Album titled "Legacy (Ahamefula)". The title of his song was 'Obianuju" and is one of his best tracks for 2011.
Other artistes who have used female names in their work include P Square in Onyinye and Ifunanya, Styl-plus in Olufunmi and others.
