Why parents should have time for their children

In our very busy world today, many parents have little or no time for their children. They are so busy with work or one social and religious commitment or the other. Some parents only get to see their children in the morning before they go to school, and by the time they come back late at night the kids would have gone to bed; this is not meant to be. Read on with me as I mention some reasons why Parents should have time for their children.

To Give Basic Education: The first important reason for parents to have time for their children is to give then some basic education. In as much as children go to school to acquire formal education, there are other basic and informal education parents should have time to teach their children such as sex education, how to cook, and personal hygiene.

To show them love: When Parents are mostly close to their children, the kids feel they are loved and protected but when the parents always leave them in the hands of nannies, they might feel a bit rejected and might end up with bad habits.

To Give Them Parental Advice: Children need parental advice and guidance to keep them in line, parents can only give the advice when they spend time with their children, this is very necessary because if parents fail to advice their children, they may turn to their peers for advice, and they will be advised wrongly by their peers who know no better.

To Correct them: children easily pick up bad habits and behaviour like using abusive words from school or from close friends its only when the parents spend time with the child that they can notice it on time and correct the child.
