Cancer is an ugly disease as it's an abnormal growth of cells in the body that tends to disrupt the proper functioning of the body. They consists of cells that grow and divide without being of any good use to the body and ought to be removed. They consist of abnormal cells that grow out of control and end up taking nutrients from the body. Cancerous cells rely on the food we eat and the kind of lifestyle we live.

3. Eat more fruits and vegetables: We live in a world that mostly now depends on packaged foods and tend to east less green food and fruits. You should make it a habit of taking fruits and greens on a daily basis. Even eating some raw onions, carrots and pawpaw is not a bad idea. Tomatoes are good too as well as apples. In Nigerian, you can find abundant fruits like mangoes, oranges, African pear and guavas. Eat the ones you can eat raw as it works better than cooked ones

4. Maintain a good ph : It is said that a low level PH in the body or an acidic body finds it hard to resist cancerous cells than one that is alkalinic. A good body ph is said to be over 7 while less than 7 is said to be acidic and not good for the body because it leads to a while lot of health problems. Don't eat a lot of foods that are acidic such as fried food and sweet stuff. Try to take some bitter food and fruits too from time to time. Some foods that are considered alkalinic and helpful are onions, garlic, cucumber, tomatoes, apples, bananas, avocado pear, native pear, grapes, coconuts, lemon, lime Apple Cider Vinegar, water melon, nuts and green vegetables. You can also take stuff like mineral water.

5. Avoid Alcohol: There has been many things said about taking alcohol and in most cases, it's not healthy. Avoiding it altogether would increase your chances against cancer, particularly cancer of the liver. Alcohol has the ability to increase your cancer risk in 7 areas such as the following: mouth cancer, pharyngeal cancer, oesophageal cancer, laryngeal cancer, breast cancer, bowel cancer and liver cancer

6. Eat only organic foods: Many of us now tend to eat foods that are grown inorganically with chemicals and that has been reported to be one of the causes of cancer. If you spend your lifetime eating only inorganic mangoes or oranges rather than the locally grown ones, it may increase your cancer risk. It's about the same with fruits and vegetables that are grown with a lot of chemicals such as pesticides and fertilizers. Organically grown food might look smaller but it is reported to be healthier.
