Breast cancer is one of the most dreaded disease especially by women all over the world. It is yet to be fully understood why some people end of with breast and others do not, but suggestions have been made that this disease could be a combination of a couple of factors, some of which are out of our control. Below are a few of them

Gender:
Breast is most commonly found in women. The simple fact that you're a women predispose one to this disease. This is probably because men have less of the hormones found in the breast.

Genetics:
It has been discovered a good number of diseases people have in their lifetime is traceable to their genetics. Same goes for breast cancer which can be hereditary - resulting from an inherited gene defect from parent. About 10% of this disease results this way.

Family History:
If anybody from your family, sometimes even if it's a distant relative have breast cancer, it suggests that you are the risk of having the disease. This is to say that if your parents or siblings have had the disease, you're at more risk than if it was a relative.

Birth Control Measures/Contraceptives:
Scientists have discovered that women who get to use birth control pills have higher risk of the breast disease compared to those who don't.

Other risks include drinking of alcohol. A woman who uses alcohol is at a higher risk than those who don't. Obesity or being overweight is another way to tell if someone has a risk of getting breast cancer or not.
