Health benefits of eating noodles

Noodles can be classified as a staple food which is made from highly processed flour, yam or corn. Health experts advise people to stay away from consuming noodles in large quantity because to them, noodles are more or less processed starch that contains little or no nutrients and also they have very high calorie contents; imagine a 120 mg pack of instant noodle containing over 650 calories and a health adult will need at least 2 packs of that to get satisfied.

For this article, I will discuss the health benefits that are associated with taking noodles;

1. Salt: a healthy quantity of salt is added to noodles to give it taste; and salt contains iodine. Iodine is a very important mineral that is needed by the body; this mineral have various health benefits which include; helps to reduce brain damage in children, helps the thyroid glance to function well; also pregnancy women are advised to take at least 200 mg of iodine in their daily meal to help the unborn baby to develop well, and avoid deformation.

2. Vitamins: These days, most instant noodles we get are packed with dried vegetables such as carrot, lettuce and cabbage; these vegetables though in small quantity are good source of Vitamins A in carrot which is needed for a healthy eye sight, vitamins D for the bones and skeletal frame of the body and Vitamin B.

3. Carbohydrates: If you check your Noodle package, you might notice that one of the main things it's made of is carbohydrates and they are helpful in giving you energy for work and doing your normal activities.

4. It may contain protein: Some Noodles contain protein and if it does, it's normally printed on the package. It may be in form of grounded fish, meat and so on. Besides you may also add meat to your noodles when preparing it just to ensure you have enough protein. This is normally recommended for growing kids.
