Garden eggs are a popular fruit slash vegetable that is very common in Nigeria. They come in two popular species; one specie is green in colour and the other which is somewhat light yellowish in colour. Most people love to eat it raw while some others boil it or add it as an ingredient in food like African salad. Which ever way you choose to eat this unique fruit, it still gives you the maximum health benefits that is packed in it.

Weight Loss: most Dietitians advice people who wish to loose weight to consume a lot of gardens eggs; this is because it has very low calorie content and plenty of fibre which aids the digestive system and also helps to break down complex fats in the body. You can consume garden eggs in large quantity in place of other unhealthy snacks like biscuits, bread and others made from white processed carbohydrates.

2. It contains Thiamine: Garden eggs come with a good quantity of this important nutrient known as thiamine. Thiamine is responsible for growth and also helps the heart and the kidney to function properly; also the respiratory system in the body requires constant quantity of thiamine to function well.
