Ebola is considered one of the deadliest viruses in the world today, and the rate at which the virus spreads makes it something to be dreaded and be careful about. In this article, I will not go deeply into details about what the Ebola virus is and how it can be contacted; I will focus more on right actions to take to protect you from the deadly virus.

Avoid Bodily Contact: one of the ways Ebola can be contacted is by bodily contact with an infected patient or to be direct, it occurs when the bodily fluid from a patient touches another, so can must be taken to avoid bodily contact with people, especially if the person is showing symptoms like high fever and vomiting.

Regular Hand Washing: one of the things that kill the virus is soap, that is why it is advised that after any contact, like hand shake with someone, you should wash your hands thoroughly with soap or sanitizer under a running water, this way any virus that comes in contact with your hands can be washed off.

Avoid Eating Partly Cooked Meats: Rumour has it that the Ebola virus was first contacted through eating of ape and bats, and my guess is that, they meat of the animal was not boiled thoroughly to kill any virus that is living inside it. So partly cooked meat such as the popular Suya should be avoided for the main time, and meat should be cooked thoroughly before consumption.
