Fat belly is very popular amongst Nigerian women; even the slim ones amongst them still have a lot of fat stored up in their belly. It is not always you see an average Nigerian woman with flat trimmed belly. Some of the causes of these belly fats are: Remnants of baby fats (pregnancy related fats), poor eating habits, lack of exercise and workout, plenty of alcohol and booze. Whatever the cause is, belly fat should be worked off in order to void other health complication.

1. First, immediately after child’s birth, a nursing mother is advised to workout in order to flatten the belly and make it go back to its original shape. When this is not done, the tummy takes the form of its expanded shape.

2. Good feeding habits can be maintained to help get ride of belly fats. Fatty foods should be avoided as they help in storing fats in the stomach. There are foods like cabbage that contain substances that helps to break down belly fats, these foods should be consumed more

3. Reduce alcohol intake. Alcohol is known as one of the main causes of fats in the belly, and intake should be reduced drastically if not stopped totally.

4. Exercise and workouts are of outer most importance when it comes to loosing belly fat, tighten muscles helps to melt the belly fat, tighten muscles around the abdomen and flattens the tummy. Daily sit ups of about 50 sets is recommended for anybody who is serious about loosing belly fats.
