Using micro waves is an effective and time-saving way of reheating our meals. This is a perfect option for those working in offices to use in heating their lunch. The good news here is that there is little or nothing that cannot be reheated using a micro wave. Below are simplified tips to help you get started.

Obviously, the first step will be to get out the meal that you want reheated and put into the micro wave safe dish - this is to prepare it for reheating.

Get the food positioned around the outskirt region of the dish. This is to ensure that as much as possible the heat is being distributed evenly on the food. This also helps the food to heat faster.

Ensure that when heating, the food (especially for heating of meat) is kept moist by sprinkling with water or broth.

A micro wave - safe plastic wrap or lid should be placed over the container. This is to help in retaining the moisture in the dish so that the food does not dry out.

Ensure that a temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit is attained before letting out the food. At this temperature, there is less risk of food poisoning and it kills any bacteria present. You could cook for 3 to 5 minutes if that would be enough too reheat the food all through.

Once the temperature is reached, you can now remove the meal. Make sure to use the provided heat-proof mitts so that you don't get your hands burned up.

Now that the food is out, don't consume immediately, allow it to stands for a little while - say 1 minutes before served.
