The cash deposit service through Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is one of the innovative banking services introduced by Nigerian banks. Although this service has been in existed for several years, most bank customers are unaware of it. That is the reason why you still find long queue of customers trying to make deposits in banking halls. This ATM deposit service is meant to help customers make cash deposits into a beneficiary’s account without visiting a banking hall.

The first step is to visit any ATM near you, and click on the red ‘ENTER’ button on the top right side of the ATM buttons. The second step is to enter the bank account details of the beneficiary. The beneficiary is the person to receive the amount; it could be your personal account or another person’s account. The account details to enter are the beneficiary’s account name and details, the class of account and the bank where the account is maintained.

After that, you click the ‘OK’ button to verify and confirm the account details you entered.

The next step is to insert the cash. The cash should be placed on the opening through which the ATM releases cash for withdrawal. The ATM confirms the amount and credits the account of the beneficiary instantly. One good thing about this method of cash deposit is that, it saves much time and also, you don’t need an ATM card to complete this type of transaction.
