The NECO exam is the second O level asides WAEC secondary school students are expected to take as a sign that they have completed their secondary school education. Why students are encouraged to write both WAEC and NECO is because, they can use the NECO result to combine their WAEC result. For instance, if you failed Maths in your WAEC and passed it in your NECO, you can combine both results to gain admission into a higher institution.

Tips On How To Pass Your NECO EXAM:

1. Start Reading Early: some students wait until some weeks before the exam before they start reading, this puts the student into pressure as they try to cram all the subjects all at once. Students should learn to start early to study their books, it will give them time to assimilate and understand whatever they read, and it will be hard to forget when you assimilate whatever you read.

2. Create A Timetable And Follow It Through: candidates are expected to take at least nine courses in the NECO exam; so you can create a timetable that will contain all the nine subjects you registered for. The student should remember to allocate more time to tougher courses instead of shying away from them.

3. Study Past Questions: over 50% of the questions are repeated over and over again; you can get need to get hold of past questions in all the courses you are sitting for and take out time to solve questions from at least the last seven to five years.
