How to make your PC run faster

Is your PC slowing down? As computers get more used, store more data and simply get older, they tend to work less faster than they did at the start. Having a faster computer can really go a long way in speeding up your work.

Steps you can take to make your personal computer run faster:
- Go to the Control panel and click on Perfomance and Maintenance
- Select rearrange items on your hard disk to make programs run faster
- You may also choose to free up space on your hard disk
- Select your hard drive and click on defragment to start the defragmentating progress. It takes about 1 min
- Now your PC/Computer can run a bit faster

Other ways to make your PC run faster:
- Uninstall unnecessary programs
- Add more RAM
- Make use of external hard drive to store old files or not commonly used files to free up space on your hard drive

You may keep repeating the defragmenting exercise as often as 1 month to speed up your computer. The thing about computers slowing down is when they run too many programs and hence give more work to the PC. Fewer programs make a computer run faster and if it were possible, you may just uninstall all programs that didn't come with your PC just to see how faster your computer can really be. Another thing is that although more RAM can speed up your computer, there is always a limit to the amount of RAM your PC can accept.
